Hi and welcome to SEO Web Copywriter. My name is Lara Fabans. I’ve been writing for the web, well, since the web really started. Back in the late 80s and early 90s, I wrote man pages and text documents that were ftp’d and tftp’d.
When HTML and web pages were finally on the scene around 1994, I had a blast putting up web pages. I would write copy for SGI’s customer support group. I learned about how important it is to write cleanly so anyone could follow the directions.
I have been doing copywriting exclusively since 2005 when I started writing marketing plans, email autoresponders, brochures, etc. One important lesson people need to know is that web copywriting should not be a brochure on the internet. The content should be useful, easy to navigate and to search.
